Yong Soo put his navy cap on, then took it off, then put it on; all the while looking at himself in the mirror. On, off, on, off, he really couldn't decide which looked better this morning. He was really acting like a girl, whom the constant changing and doubting of outfits was a common occurrence. Pursing his lips, he decided to heck with it and threw off his entire outfit; the navy uniform he was wearing can be reserved for formal battles or pirate hangings, whenever it was required anyway. He rummaged around his cabin, searching for and pull on his oh-so-comfortable hanbok, this one a nice deep blue colour with a red ribbon tied around his waist.
He jogged out the door way, putting a red bandana up on his head to keep his hair out of face, making his way to the deck of his wonderful ship, the Ignis. He and his crew were about to head out on another routine patrol making sure the waters were nice and safe, but it also meant that the ship's crew would be going on a nice little adventure full of partying and drinking. Still, duties were somewhat important and Yong Soo would definitely be trying to keep his crew in check just on the off chance they might end up in an altercation with a not so friendly bunch of pirates. They never did learn..
He smiled at his crew who had lined up as per his orders last night, happy to see all of his old friends again. "Hey everyone, nice to see you all again! I'm not too sure whether or not we have any new joiners, but if you're new here, welcome, I hope you have a good time with us, da-ze~" He gushed out, cheerily looking at his crew, one hand on his sword out of habit. "We're going to go on a patrol-trip, it won't be as long as our last trip, but it'll still be wonderful~!"
Still smiling, he climbed up to the wheel and stood in front of it before whistling loudly towards the kitchens. "Since we're starting a new trip, I figured we should have a party, da-ze~! Drink up, have fun, make friends with new people, whatever you want~" He laughed, leaning over the railing and cracking open a bottle of his own amazing soju. We'll leave in an hour or so,he thought, eyes glancing merrily towards the neat line where the sky looks like it meets the ocean.

To say that Berwald's first morning on the Ignis had been interesting would have been an understatement. First, he had woken up earlier than the others and gotten his foot caught in the rope of his hammock which caused him to land face first on the floor, feet still above him. After painstakingly unhooking himself he had pulled on his over clothes before walking through the rows of other makeshift beds, dumping some of the other sleeping sailors on the floor to wake them up. And as if to add insult to injury (literally) those who had managed to file out before the large man skirted around him, giving him wary looks.
Now, standing among the row of the crew and towering over most of them, he could already feel the temperature starting to rise. Shifting slightly and tugging at his coat collar, Berwald immediately dropped his hand when the Captain arrived on deck. Listening attentively to his every word, a twinge of unfamiliarity struck him. Glancing around him subtly Berwald could easily notice everyone had a more seasoned air about them. They were probably on this ship before him and if not then they had been on others ships, sailing for years perhaps whereas this would be his first real year of sailing on a Navy ship.
After the speech as finished, Berwald stood for a moment as the others began to drift off. Fighting the faintest glimmer of hesitation, he straightened up and began walking over to the wheel. As he reached the steps leading up to it, his face was dusted a light pink. With his fair skin and thick clothing, not to mention the fact he had never been anywhere warmer than Rossiya, the rising heat was already catching up to him.
Taking a light breath as he pushed his glasses up on the bridge of his nose, Berwald strode up the steps easily and stood behind the shorter man in charge of the ship before clearing his throat softly. Better t' get t' know the C'ptain sooner than lat'r.

Yong Soo jumped slightly at the noise made behind him; he wasn't one to do well with surprises, they always managed to catch him off guard. Still, it was a new crew member that he saw when he turned around, that was always nice to see. He tossed his cap onto the wheel as he looked over the man standing in front of him; he would definitely be a great addition to the team. "Hey there! You're new here, aren't you, how are you? What's your name?" He asked curiously, leaning back lightly on the railing and taking another swig of his lovely soju.
He always loves getting new people on his ship, it was nice to see everybody mingling and welcoming on a newcomer, like a pack welcoming an outsider as their own without a second thought. His crew made him proud, and a bigger crew made him prouder; after all, bigger is always better, right? Either way, he mentally shook himself off and grabbed a random bottle out of the box next to him and offered it to the newcomer. After all, booze is nearly a requirement at a naval party, who didn't like a good drink?

Taken aback by how... cheerful his captain seemed, Berwald simply blinked at the man before it finally registered what had been asked. Fantastic start, Ber. Mentally shaking himself, he focused on the questions thrown into the air. Am I new. How 'm I. What's m' name. Easy enough stuff, right?
Wrong.
Before he could even get the first answer out of his mouth he was already tripping over himself. " 'm fine, feelin' new." Fuck. Hoping to salvage the quickly deteriorating situation, he coughed loudly and straightened up. "Yes, 'm new. M' n'mes Berwald. Feelin' fine, c'nsid'ring. And y'?" Smooth save.
Noticing the bottle held out to him, the Swede took a step back and held out his hands defensively while shaking his head. Considering how hot he was and the... interesting things alcohol did to him, he really didn't need the drink. So instead he clasped his hands behind his back and stood where he had moved. Hopefully his captain would understand.
Granted, he had made mistakes before.

(Sorry about not replying for so long, school work distracted me Dx)
Yong Soo laughed at Bernwald's word fumble, and shrugged at the decline of the alcohol, opening it up and taking a swig instead. He made a face at the taste, he must've picked up some weird British concoction when his soju would've worked just as well. Speaking of soju, he balanced the other drink on the railing and took a bigger swig of his lovely drink before grinning broadly at Bernwald.
"Well, 'ey there Bern, welcome aboard the ship!" He started, clapping Bernwald on the shoulder. "I can call you Bern, right?"
It was always nice to give crew members something personal to call them, it gave a sense of familiarity to even the newest of members, something Yong Soo strived for.
"As for me, you can call me Captain, or Yong Soo, or Soo, or even Captain Soo, whatever you want is fine, da-ze!" He laughed, up-ending the bottle and drinking the rest of it. "'ell, you could call me the scallywag bastard son of Davy Jones and I wouldn't even care!"
He slung an arm around Bern as he turned to face the rest of the crew socializing on the main deck. He grinned at the merry and cheer he could see, everyone mingling and acting like they had the same birth mother, buddying around and all that. "This 'ere's your family now, or at least your family on the ship. We take care of you, you take care of us. Welcome aboard Bern."

Berwald visibly twitched as his captain reached up to clasp his shoulder. The contact wasn't particularly unwelcome just foreign to the massive man. "B'rn 's fine."
Berwald could feel the nausea building within him as he watched the cap- Yong Soo down the ready of his alcohol. Whether it was from the watching or from the air that threatened to roast him alive. Swallowing thickly and discreetly tugging at his collar, the Swede looked out over the rail of the ship at the water that was currently his closest friend.
Hanging onto Yong Soo's words, Berwald turned over the meaning of them in his head before giving the slightest of nods. " 'S a deal. I g't your b'ck, y' g't mine."

(Can I just jump in here like a strange person?O-O I hope so!)
Feliciano grinned as he danced around chattering to people randomly. It'd be some time since the little Italian had a good reason to babble seemingly uncontrollably about nothing in particular to anyone and everyone he encountered. The announcement of the upcoming trip exited him and he made sure all his crew mates knew it.
He wandered around the ship humming softly and sipping some type of drink( he'd already forgotten the name of it) as he scanned the familiar assembly for someone else to talk to. From a ways away Feliciano heard the captains' voice, as well as one he couldn't seem to place. He frowned slightly, feeling confused and annoyed all at once. He prided himself on know each and everyone of his ship mates by name and now he was fumbling to try and figure out who he couldn't recognize.
Feli let out a small sound of discontent, making a couple of heads turn towards him wondering what could have upset him, before he resolved to go and find out who it was he was forgetting. Quickly making his way to opposite side of the deck he beamed at the chatting pair. "Ve, hi there!"

(Hey there, of course it's OK!) Yong Soo grinned even wider when Bern had accepted the idea of their little family, but was a little worries at his previous reaction to everything. "'Ey there, you all right, Bern? Ye don't look so good." He said, looking curiously at the sailer. He hoped to anything that was listening that Bern wasn't sea sick, that'd be both a horrible way to start off a grand trip and even worse considering his profession.
He did cheer up a bit when he heard his first mate's usual happy voice, as well as his little verbal tic. "Hey there Feli, 'ow're ya?" He called, waving him over to where he and Bern were standing before setting his empty bottle down on a barrel. His first mate was a great person and sailer, wonderfully cheery most of the time and also perfect in their tight knit group.

Stalling for an answer, Berwald shifted on his feet and looked around. "Guess 'm j'st hot. N't used t' warm weather." No harm in being honest, right? After all, they had his back. But he doubted anyone would want to haul him around trying to get him below deck if he passed out from heat stroke. It would probably ruin someone's week if he threw out their back.
He slipped from that thought line as another man, an absurdly bright one at that, practically bounded over. Yong Soo seemed happy to see him but he was also happy to see Berwald even though they never met. He did know the other man's name so it was a good chance they were friends. Either way Berwald did his best to seem unintimidating, even trying to smile, though he probably looked like he was in pain.

Feliciano grinned skidding to a stop next to the two. "I'm doing great sir; excited about getting back out to sea! And you?" He asked polishing off what was left of the drink he'd been handed with happy laugh. The Italian tugged slightly at the collar his shirt before letting his hands drop to his sides, swinging slightly back and forth with anticipation.
Feli busied himself with digging in some of his pockets, carelessly knocking the pistol on his hip out of it's holster as he searched for sugar. "Merda!"He cursed lowly, reaching to snatch up the gun from where it had fallen at someone's feet. Once his percious 'Bella' was back in her holster popped back up unwrapping a piece of gum as he did.
He blinked suddenly, stopping in mid-chew to look at his companions. "Do you want some,ve?"Feli questioned, looking from one male to the other. He stopped as his eyes fell on who assumed was the owner of the voice he couldn't place. The small man let out a somewhat unmanly yelp, 'Oh man he looks scary!', before extending his hand to the shipmate who slightly towered over him.
"I'm Feliciano, but you can call me Feli!"He beamed.

(Since the Captain hasn't been here for a while... Also sorry for shortness.)
Dear Gud, was everyone on this ship so friendly?! First the Captain and now this unnatural ray of happiness? Berwald wasn't sure how to react to such welcoming advances, having experienced very few in his life. Nonetheless, he stuck his hand out stiffly and took hold of Feliciano's before giving it a firm-- don't break h's h'nd-- shake and releasing it, "Name's Berwald. Pleas're t' meet y'."
That was relatively painless, right? No broken bones, bloody faces or police... Things actually went pretty well this time around. Nothing could be better about this moment. Well, except for the heat to go down and for him to jump off the ship into the water below. But he couldn't control the weather and it would be rude to just up and leave his shipmates like that.
