(( I don't actually know anything about US ports, I just chose basically the first one that sounded good orz ))
It had not been a good day for Lovino Vargas.
They had been anchored to the port of ksjdhgfk for few days now. Time had passed with the usual doings, shopping and selling and socializing and whatnot. Today had started like any other day, which meant that young man had slept for long, until dragging himself outside. He went to buy some food, and flirted with the woman who sold it. Things started to went downhill when her husband came on the scene. After few curses and punches Lovino had fled, without any food.
Well, after that he tried to pickpocket some fool that hadn’t been watching his purse. Italian was good at pickpocketing, but seemed that this day was cursed. A police officer had noticed him and his doings. That had led into a long chase. Fortunately, Lovino had escaped, but once again without any loot. And like that wasn’t enough, next thing he noticed was that he had run into few navy officers. The fellows weren’t from the strictest end, so it hadn’t been too bad, though. Italian had been quite eager to run away and give up fighting. Though probably, the officers had just been lazy or they just hadn’t recognized him.
Some small incidents had happened after that, but nothing crucial or noteworthy. In the end of the day pirate was out of breath from all of the running. Evening darkened and soon enough Lovino find himself in front of a bar. It was one of those shady bars in ports that mostly pirates, and other shadowy figures went to. Therefore, excellent for him. He didn’t have much money with him, so it was better to forget about supper, and just focus on alcohol and what it brought.
Because right now all he wanted was to drink and forget about his awful luck. Italian walked into bar, to the counter and ordered a glass of whiskey. Usually he preferred wine, but right now he felt like getting drunk properly, and wine wouldn’t do it. He didn’t even like whiskey, rum and the like. And despised vodka. He had tried once, and that was enough. Honestly, Lovino couldn’t hold his alcohol very well, so it probably wouldn’t take long until he was piss-drunk. It rarely ended well, but right now, he did not care.
