[Hope the location is alright? <3]
"Thief! Come back here, ya dirty bitch!"
A figure darted around the corner to narrowly leap over a salesman's cart. From behind them came a shout, followed by a long string of curses and insults in some foreign language. Lucía's only response was a sliver of a smirk through the slice of bread wedged in her mouth as she bounded through the city streets, several loaves of bread, fruits, and vegetables held tightly under both of her arms.
Unfortunately for her, the faster Lucía ran to escape the angry shouts behind her, the more fruits and vegetables that came tumbling from her pants' pockets. Without time to go back and pick up any escapee perishables, Lucía quickened her pace, weaving through and pushing aside any bystanders who just happened to have been standing in her way. Her only thought by this point being, "That's right - catch me if you can, suckers!"
The moment that she felt she was a safe distance from any shopkeepers she may have enraged in her wrong-doings, Lucía rounded another corner and stopped in an alleyway between two small carriages. Tired and out of breath, Lucía dropped to her knees and gathered all of her surviving goods in front of her to count what she had left.
Pleased with herself, the Ater pirate sat cross-legged and began snacking on the half-eaten slice of bread she had been holding in her mouth during her chase. "I'm pretty damn good." Lucía chuckled to herself at the thought of how few people had been eager to help the poor man chase her down, as it had been such an easy escape. Little by little, she plucked off bits and pieces of bread and stuffed it into her mouth gratefully. No sense in returning to her crew hungry, right? Not like they'd notice half a loaf had gone missing.

[Fine with me ^^ <33]
Another day, another port, a crap ton of annoying people. Fritzi scowled as she pushed her way through the busy Gallia marketplace. She honestly hated being even this close to the capital, it brought back too many nasty memories of growing up in the higher social circles of Rossiya, while it was much more cutthroat and colder and nastier in general, was not much different from Gallia, just colder.
The albino pirate captain looked around when she heard a salesman (that she knew from experience was a penny-pinching bastard) shouting for a theif to stop. Her hetero-chromatic eyes followed the girl he was shouting at as a smirk slowly made it's way across her face. Any person who could get the old bastard that pissed off was a good person in her books, it also helped that this girl had the look of a pirate to her.
"Hmm, maybe she's one from that other ship docked here..." the albino girl mused as she watched the dark haired girl evade her pursuers. Her mind was made up as she stealthily followed her, being sure to trip up some of the people who had gotten on her bad side on her stay in this town. Serves the pricks right, she thought as she 'accidentally' stepped on one guys hand with her heeled boots.
Fritzi quietly sauntered into the alleyway she had watched the other girl slip into, leaning against the wall across from her, a smirk playing on her face as she crossed her arms over her chest and watched her eat.
"I'm pretty damn good."
"You are, I haven't seen someone evade so many pissed off shopkeepers so well since I was last in Brasilium, and that boy was a professionally trained thief. You look more like a pirate, ja? Then you must be on that other ship in the port, since you aren't on mine." she said casually, as if she hadn't just basically appeared out of nowhere and surprised a probable pirate, which she knew was a stupid idea, but something that she just couldn't resist doing. The albino grinned wolfishly at the other girl, keeping her arms crossed and away from her sword to show that she wasn't here to pick a fight, in case she thought that she was.

"You are, I haven't seen someone evade so many pissed off shopkeepers so well since I was last in Brasilium, and that boy was a professionally trained thief." Lucía swung around to face the source of the sudden voice, eyes wide, and a ready hand gripping the sword at her side.
"You look more like a pirate, ja? Then you must be on that other ship in the port, since you aren't on mine." Another pirate? The whole idea triggered the simple reaction of a raised eyebrow from Lucía.
"Ché, thank ya, Stranger.." Tensed shoulders relaxing, Lucía gathered her bearings and bundled them in both arms as she stood up to heighten herself against Frizti. "What ship do you come from, Madam?" She couldn't say she was familiar with the accent that rolled off the apparent-fellow pirate's tongue.
As she waited for a response, Lucía's eyes trailed up and down Fritzi's figure. Lucía just barely matched her height, but perhaps that was due to the heels she was wearing on her feet. The woman had unnatural white hair that Lucía had never seen on a human before, and albino-red eyes blinking from behind long bangs.
"You're pretty impressive yourself, you know. You sure seem rather stealthy, sneaking up on me like that..." Spoke the dark-haired woman. The words came out slowly and carefully, as though she were contemplating whether or not saying anything at all was acceptable.

Fritzi couldn't help but grin wolfishly at the other woman as she stood up and spoke. She subtly let her own eyes run over the other female pirate (they were one attractive bunch, that she was sure of. She had never met an ugly woman pirate), taking in the fact that if not for her heels Fritzi would be shorter than her, which made her mentally pout a bit at that fact. Damn her mother for making her so short.
"Ché, thank ya, Stranger... What ship do you come from, Madam?"
The albino couldn't fight her grin growing wider at the question. She wondered if the other woman would stick around after finding out, some did, others booked it the fuck away from her. It really all depended on what stories they had heard and which ship they were from.
"Not a problem, and I'm from the Nox myself, what about you liebling~?" she purred, the smirk on her face even more evident in the tone of her voice. She uncrossed her arms, letting them drop until her thumbs were resting comfortably in the pockets of her black breeches, just under the bright red scarf she used for a belt.
"You're pretty impressive yourself, you know. You sure seem rather stealthy, sneaking up on me like that..."
"You flatter me liebling~ I've simply had quite a few years to perfect my techniques, ja?" she said, winking at the dark haired woman, all the while keeping an ear out for any law officers or the pissed off salesmen. Hopefully neither would show up, the albino didn't really feel like leaving this town yet, or having to hide bodies right now. Both were always such a hassle to do...

There was no hiding the evident surprise on Lucía's face at the mention of this young woman being a part of the Nox's crew. She'd heard a couple old tale-chasers' stories about the Nox, but nothing that Lucía felt could be proven. Rumors spread fast and far across the sea, after all. Perhaps they were a rougher bunch, but surely the Nox crew couldn't be that fearsome and hostile?
"I'm of the Ater. Cap'n's right-hand, in fact, mi querido." If Fritzi was going to call her names that she knew Lucía most-likely wouldn't understand, Lucía was going to return the favor.
Lucía wasn't sure what a "liebling" was. It was clear that it was a nickname of some foreign origin other than a language of her own. It sort of bugged her to be repeatedly called a pet name that she didn't understand - Lucía had no idea if it was an insult, a compliment, or just a neutral statement. She decided not to comment on it or drag it on, however.
Tucking her fruits, vegetables, and loaves of bread in her pockets as best as she could (And holding the rest in one arm), Lucía held out her free hand for a shake of greeting. She knew very well that this made her vulnerable. With no hands to grab at her weapon, Fritzi could attack at any given time. However, Lucía supposed that, if killing, robbing, or taking her hostage had been Fritzi's true intentions, she would've done so already and gotten it out of the way. She had already been given two open chances.
"The name's Lucía de Romero. A pleasure, luv."

"I'm of the Ater. Cap'n's right-hand, in fact, mi querido. The name's Lucía de Romero. A pleasure, luv." Fritzi lifted her arm up and reached out, firmly grasping Lucia's in hers, shaking it as she continued to wear her signature smirk spread across her face.
" 's nice to meet ya Lucía de Romero. Fritzi Beilschmidt here at your service," she said, sweeping her a small and quick bow, before straightening up again, left hip cocked and her hand resting lightly on it. "And I'm the captain of the Nox, the ship with the worst reputation of them all." she purred, once more grinning wolfishly at the darker woman, giving her another obnoxious wink as she snickered a little. So far so good it seemed, this interesting woman hadn't run off like a rabbit at the mention of the Nox, so she probably wasn't from one of the pansy ships masquerading as a pirate ship, which was always a good thing in the albino's books.
"So liebling, whatcha up to in this town, other than robbing the salespricks blind of course ?" Fritzi asked idly as she replaced her hands in her pockets, looking back towards the market out of the corner of her eye when she mentioned the pissed off salesmen, making sure that none of them were anywhere close to the little alleyway that the two women were hidden in. There was no one there, good. The albino woman turned her attention back to Lucia, the seemingly permanent smirk still spread out across her face.

The smirk on Fritzi's face did aggravate Lucía a bit at first. The natural cheekiness in her character didn't seem right, and it made her a bit uneasy... but it did seem a lot like Lucía herself. A small sliver of a smile spread across her own face at the thought. This woman was pretty and smart, she'd give her that. And a captain.
To be captain had been Lucía's dream since the day she arrived on the Ater and saw just how the captain took charge. It was such a shame it was just barely out of her reach by this point. But, then again, the goal did give Lucía something to live for. Perhaps it was what had been keeping her alive all these years she was clawing her way up the charts.
"Ah, my crew is taking a bit of time for repairs. I thought I could sneak off and run back and forth, gathering some food for the road before we have to ship off again first thing in the morning." Looking down at the fruits in her arm, Lucía flicked her tongue over her lips. She hadn't eaten all morning, and probably would've swallowed down the rest of what she gathered, had Fritzi not arrived. The newcomer's presence knocked her back to her senses. This food was for her ship, after all.
Eyes wandering back to Fritzi, Lucía's smile widened. "The Nox is in town? What're you doing here yourself, Fritzi?" She liked this woman already. "If you'd be so kind to let me call ya that. It's a bit improper of me."

Fritzi gave her another obnoxious wink along with a nod, taking a step closer to her and throwing an arm over the other woman's shoulders. It was at times like these when she was glad that her boots gave her a few extra inches, otherwise she would've been about an inch and a half shorter than this interesting woman she had just met.
" 's fine to call me Fritzi, so long as I get to call ya Lucía~" she said, snickering lightly. "And I'm here cause my crew and I have some trading to do, picked up some lovely gold in Ottomanicum, if you know what I mean~" she laughed, giving the woman yet another obnoxious wink, knowing that she would understand that by 'picked up' she meant raided one of their ships, stole the gold, and was now selling it in one of the nations that Ottomanicum wasn't on the best terms with, so there was no chance of it being correctly traced and recovered.
"So Luc, watcha wanna do? Cause I'm bored and you're the most interesting person I've met in a while." she said, still smirking.

Okay, so maybe the arm around her shoulders felt a bit awkward, but Lucía managed to keep herself from instinctively shoving the other woman off. Besides, Lucía knew exactly what Fritzi meant, and she had to admit; she was pretty impressed, indeed.
"So Luc, watcha wanna do? Cause I'm bored and you're the most interesting person I've met in a while." A question that Lucía had been ready to propose herself, if Fritzi hadn't asked how she had just now. This gave Lucía something to smirk about, now.
They could stop for a drink after Lucía disappeared onto her ship for a second to get rid of this extra baggage she had been carrying? Or perhaps they could simply hang about like it was nobodies' business? With both of their crews busy and off with their own things to do, Lucía and Fritzi could do pretty much whatever they wanted. The world was their oyster, and this whole marketplace was theirs' for the taking.
"Care to join me in robbing some more 'innocent' civilians blind?" Asked Lucía after a moment or two of thinking this over. Now it was her turn to give a Fritzi a little pat on the back. "Ché, I think we're gonna get along fine~"

"Care to join me in robbing some more 'innocent' civilians blind? Ché, I think we're gonna get along fine~"
Fritzi threw back her head and laughed, nearly having to hold on to Lucía to stay standing as she laughed. Oh she liked this girl, she knew exactly how pirate's operated on land too it seemed. Land or sea, a pirate is a pirate, and stealing from undeserving bastards was always a good time.
"Oh liebling, we are going to get along just perfectly~" the albino woman purred, a dangerous glint now in her eyes as she spun them both around to look out of the alleyway into the marketplace. "Shall we grab ourselves a drink and get to work then?" she asked, sounding almost giddy at the prospect of finally being able to do something again. That was the bad thing about being on land for more than a few days at the most, Fritzi got antsy with nothing to do but either wander around or help trade, even though she tended to hinder the trading more than she helped, which is why her crew usually tried to keep her occupied with other things while they set about trading all that they had acquired from their raids.
"So where shall we start then Luc~?" she purred again, an almost maniacal grin on her face as she surveyed the crowds of people walking past their little alleyway.

When Fritzi suddenly spun her around to look off to the opening of the alleyway that lead back into the marketplace, Lucía jolted and had to quickly catch her catch her belongings before they hit the ground. She bundled them in her arms once again and breathed a sigh of relief.
"So where shall we start then Luc~?" That drink Fritzi suggested did sound good right about now, but first, Lucía had her own business to take care of. "A-actually, not meaning to be a buzzkill or anythin'..." Lucía spoke, "But can we stop at the docks just for a split-second drop-off? I have some.. 'buggage' to leave on-board. I won't be able to be much help when I've got my hands full." Not only that, but she'd be pretty recognizable as that 'thief' who had taken from the poor servingman's food from his cart if she still had the stolen goods on her.
Lucía tilted her head to motion towards the goods in her arms with her chin to show just what she was talking about. "Don't think ya want me to come along with you if I'm gonna be slowing you down, eheh..." A half-hearted chuckle for effect as Lucía peered at the albino woman by her side. "Do you mind if we just head back to my ship? Then we can grab a quick drink and get down to business!" She exclaimed as she ducked and slipped out of Fritzi's hold around her.
